What if I submit another online order that fails to go through? I have to monitor my balance daily to make sure it credits back? Even worse, what if a shady employee conducts a transaction using my cards information - maybe just a small $20 charge - and unless I memorize and remember, at all times, my exact store credit balance, I would never know because I can't request a recent transaction history. Now I'm afraid, however, that GameStop offers no transparency and has no accountability for transactions on my PowerUp Rewards card. Their BBB response was "We give you a receipt. I submitted the complaint anyway, basically explaining I was shocked GameStop refuses to provide store credit transaction history. At least not without a police report.įinally, just minutes before I submitted a BBB complaint (having spent two weeks contacting GameStop explaining I feared they failed to credit me $50), it finally appeared back on the card. I called, emailed, and went in store, hoping to get a five to ten transaction history on my store credit account (my power up rewards card, basically), and everytime I was told they couldn't. However, for a few days, the $50 I was charged to my store credit wasn't refunded. One of my online purchases was "held" (their customer service couldn't explain why). I made some instore and online purchases. I accrued a substantial trade in balance (in part due to CAG, go figure) and had it credited to my PowerUp Rewards card. I don't know if there's a better forum or sub-forum for this, but I know some folks here work for GameStop (and more importantly, a lot of us use GameStop), and I recently had an experience that makes me _very_ wary of ever using store credit there ever again.
